Default guns

I was reading something last week about guns, replicas etc and how they were supposedly illegal to own. I didnt really have an opinion about these "toys" until i saw a multitude of them in a "bagain shop" in town yesterday.
They are so real looking its frightening, why are they allowed on sale if you arent allowed to own them? I certainly wouldnt buy one for my son for christmas, they arent the little cowboy type cap guns like we had as kids, these are really terrifyingly looking weapons!!
Ive not seen toy guns in shops for a long time..is this shop right to be selling them or wrong? What do you think?

i think that violence and threat of violence isnt a new thing...what is new is that its not a threat anymore. People have carried knives etc for years..in the 80's the popular cool weapons were the bruce lee type stuff numchackers or whatever they were called lol (also now illegal)...but when weapons were carried often they were carried as a threat and only that..not that its ever right to threaten of course.
The thing is now that no-ones afraid to use em anymore and thats the frightening thing..kids are dying in school..teachers raped in classrooms..burglars murdering homeowners...is it ever gonna end? If so how?

if they outlaw guns and knives people will only find something else to use as a weapon its the never ending story ...trying to ban knives will be difficult because they (well some) are classed as household iems.. its ok saying put an 18 age limit on them but cigarettes and alcohol have age restrictions on them and are they ever upheld ? kids as young as ten are smoking and drinking ..you just cant stop it ....and the justice system in htis country stinks so that doesnt deter them they have a cushier life inside jail ..sky tv, 3 meals a day, warmth....i say make the prisons like those in thailand wher they sleep on concrete floors in their own p**s..that would stop em from commiting crimes ...(damn im babbling on ... :yelrotflm )

i remember when we were teenagers ,my aunty comming to our house crying ,my cousin had been caught with a couple of friends carrying bicycle chains ,she thought he was a real tearaway ,it was just a fashion statement ,the start of the teddy boys era, its laughable now because there was absolutely no way they would have done anything illeagle,.today its another story completely , :(

well said, if the prisons were what they were designed to be then im sure that at least 50% of crime would disappear. Why oh why are do gooders always interfering? I mean take that ludicrous debate about burglars having rights when they break into your home? How mad is that??

i wonder if ozzy wouldve mangaged to keep hold of that burglar whether he'd have ended up charged himself with GBH and then a multi million pound lawsuit closely following behind.
Makes you think eh? Maybe that chappies kicking himself now? Hes stuck with jewellery to hot to sell and he couldve been quids in by getting caught!! lol!!

The trouble with replica guns is that police have shot people who have had them, you can't expect someone to say" just let me have a good look to see if it's real". Some can be adapted into real guns. It should be made that if you are caught with a knife over three inch long in the street you will get a five year jail term. In Texas anyone who shoots a burgler in their home gets a reward.
