| Who controls the newspapers? How do we know it's true? They could print anything at all and people would believe it, how do we know that it's not all just nonsense?

| You should never fully believe what you read in papers. It's a business, and thier business is selling as many newspapers as they can and if the truth gets lost along the way, well who cares? They certainly don't! It seems they make enough money to cover any libel cases that are brought against them! |

| I did used to like reading The Times but don't really find myself buying it much anymore. The only paper I still buy regularly is my local Observer, but even that can be a little biased at times, especially in the run up to local elections. |

| I think all newspapers to a point put a spin on stories, from comic book papers to the broadsheets - just more intellectual spins. The times is a good paper but hard to get hold of up here [i mustn't live in an intellectual area pmsl] otherwise its the Mail top end of the comic books. The attitude is to sell papers at the end of the day whether theres truth - well a slight element maybe:becky: |
