Default How much do you think my house is worth?

I'm thinking of putting my three bedroomed semi-detached house on the market. It's in Ightenhill and has just had a large conservatory added to the rear of it - how much do you think it'll be worth?

Like everything else it is supply and demand, the news says that house prices are going down and this time of year is a bad time for selling anyway, people don't start looking around until Spring. Seems a funny time to decide to sell, just after having building work done :D. Last year at this time houses around here were going as soon as the notices appeared, but now some have been on the market for months.

Ask an estate agent..... that's your best bet, they give free valuations.

Harris & Moss or Reeds Rains seem OK.

That seems like the done thing nowadays, I want to know why doing £5000 worth of improvements puts £10,000 on the asking price of a house?? I'd rather buy something needing work done, for less money and get the work done how I like it.

Ok, I'll give you the honest truth about it's worth.

Currently, given the recent need for improvements & the poor area that it is in, along with the general state of repair of it, I'll offer you £500.
No survey, no searches etc, quick cash sale :D :D

Where were you a few months ago when I was looking for a house in that area???? lol

Best get three quotes BL and that will give you an idea.,the house price's round here have gone mentle.Digsy can't get enough to buy a dump, the house we are in as tripled in value, only thing is who makes the money? If we move we have to pay more,so you do'nt gain, there's always jobs round here but it's very low pay.I blame them tv shows that think it dead clever buying up loads of houses doowin em up for £500 and then selling em for another £10000. Feel better I got that off me chest.

Someone i know recently moved in a house on ighten road...facing the park. They paid £150k and a month after moving in it was valued at £175k! Saying that the house next door to me went for £120k and i think it was worth tons more!
You know yourself that estate agents are always putting leaflets through our doors as ightenhill houses are on buyers waiting lists so get em all round and get it valued BUT dont trust the highest value..go for the middle as usually this is often the more truthful value.
