Cool First Gig you went to?

I can't remember mine!! - It was either U2 at Wembley Stadium (Joshua tree tour), or Gaye bykers on acid at the Mechanics...both memorable in their own way, just don't remember which order I saw them.
We had to change coaches at Rawtenstall for the U2 concert 'cos it broke down, then the windscreen smashed 30 miles outside London - draughty!
The Gaye Bykers one was a bit disorganized, I think they were supposed to appear as their alter ego's "Lesbian dopeheads on mopeds" first, but it was running late for some reason.

Oh dear. I think my first one of choice was Yazz (and the Plastic Population). My last one was The Music at Blackburn.

...Last one was Manics at MEN Arena, didn't stay for the end though - sound was rubbish where we were (right up the side at the top - I'm not a fan, it was just something to do). Before that, Primal Scream at the Apollo - good gig but they only sell that Labatt's rubbish.

Only ever seen the Manics at a festival, and thought they were good. Have most of their albums, just never got round to seeing them tour.

Never seen Primal Scream. I LOVED Screamadelica but never bothered with them much after that.
I've seen some pretty shameful gigs in my time. Bros, NKOTB and Westlife to name a few (eeek) but I've made up for it with the good ones. :D

Can't say I've been to a gig unless the Houghton weavers,Punk in the park count.
Punk in the park was this summer and had bands such as razor dog and sedation, the choice of venue was a bit odd St.Anne's,very enjoyable, woke the locals up a bit!

They weren't at the height of their popularity at the time, it was when they had the stand-in guitarist...I refrained from joining my girlfriend at the front screaming!!

I remember seeing posters up for Blue Movie gigs, don't think I ever saw them though. Some I remember are: The Lynch aka Hate Syndicate aka Flesh Tuxedo, Sulphate Family, The Mirrors, Harry Wharton and Co, Walter Mitty's Head, Little Elvis...there were loads at one time!
