Thank goodness there,s finally been a ban on hunting with dogs, I know its some people,s liveley-hood and foxes are farm scavengers but they should not be ripped apart in barbaric sport !

I'm sad when people lose jobs,but anyone who makes a living out of fox hunting have had more warning than most people.You tend to get a month at most.I'ts just a crule way to cull any animal,if they are a pest then they can kill them in a better way. :(

I think Fox hunting is cruel, but I'm amazed how the issue of banning it has dragged on for so long.
I can't say I'm sorry for the toffs that will have to find something else to do at weekends - probably chase asylum seekers.

For all the huntings you mentions can we include Blair?

Pleased as I am with the outcome, I don't think it is over yet. They plan to challenge it in the courts and under European Law as well as a Human Rights issue. There have been threats about not letting the utilities use their lands for pylons etc although I think that is a non-starter.

human rights issue? they are all pompous toffs. what about the rights of the fox? oh the fox enjoys it, so the say. id like to see them(the hunters) get chased around a field by a pack of dogs, and then get ripped to shreds at the end!! then they would no that the fox doesnt enjoy it one bit. its just barbaric!!

The issue is the barbaric way the fox is hunted and killed, not the social standing of the hunters. I would feel the same about working class people who badger bait or fight with dogs.
The more people talk about 'toffs' etc the more the main issue blurs as it is taken as jealousy.

Spot on Nessie, anyone can be crule,and to me that is my point. If you go on about Toffs etc you are just missing the point. People enjoy different things,if people enjoy the hurting side that is what I find sick.

Agree Nessie, **** fighting too used to be an ancient sport and is in parr with fox hunting!they all belong in the past!

i think its a very cuel pastime ,i certainly dont think its a sport,and the house of lords have waisted months and months of time and money on what has been a sadistic upper class temper tantrum ,and now they are sulking and threatoning to put dead carcusses on doorsteps,etc...by the time the law comes into effect they will no dought have found some loophole,anyway i for 1 am glad they see sense at last.G.C.

when i say toffs, i say it only coz i cant use an expletive. my parents and i feel very strongly on this, and toff is themildest word that i could use without getting myself banned,.
