Gene Pitney has died!!

Singer Gene Pitney as died at the age of 65!!
He is best known in this country for hits such as 24hrs from Tulsa,and Somethings got a hold of my heart.
He was found dead in a hotel room in Cardiff where he was doing a British tour!

not a great fan but I saw him as a support act to Adam faith back in the 60s, he was good and was the first guy I saw with a colledge boy hair cut ( very mod ). I dont think he ever stopped working glad he went on tour I'm sure that is what he would have wanted.

He was one of my favourites and i used to wear the mod look and wear a college scarf which was borrowed from my brother in law who went to Cambridge!

I didn't know Gene Pitney really well, but I always loved "She's A Rebel." After weeks of searching for this song, I've finally found it on Napsterlinks. I got the full length song by entering my address and login name.

And yes, he'll be sorely missed.
