Well, St George is the patron saint of England. We might like a drink or ten, that will fuel the economy!

Well I'm not religious, and I don't buy into all this patriotism stuff. It's not like England has a history we should be proud of.

Well I, and most British people are. This is not about religion. It is about pride. England has fought very hard to remain free. We lost many good men in this fight. I am fiercely patriotic and feel this day needs to be celebrated. It's about home!

Oh I love that? We've fought hard to be free? Yet we imposed brutal rule across half the world with our colonies and had such a big hand in slavery.

I can only relate to the last two world wars, when our men, my Dad and Grandad among them, fought to save this land. Proud, proud, proud!
