What are the views of BWers? There quite a discussion going on on Accy Web and I just wondered what the views would be here. What do I think? Just a bloody excuse to burn and pillage and a spanking good case of double standards.

It did offend alot of people, and alot of people took offense and a small minority of people reacted violently, this was however condemmed by the Muslim Council of Britian. The fact that a comic like that was published in mainstream danish media says alot about the society in denmark, and I can sympathise with danish Muslims who obviously suffer alot of Racism in there country, if the audiences of national media will continue to buy such a biggoted newspaper.

Crowds, numbering several hundred, in several Danish cities is not a 'few violent people'. Muslims are far too easily offended.

Not really, we can deduce that there is already alot of racism in Danish Society, so I think this cartoon was the final straw, if I was a Muslim I'd be protesting.

I know nothing about the racism in Danish Society, however, but the Danes have the right to publish whatever they want in their own country. I've seen them and they are trivial drawings, among which was a cartoon of Christ. I suggest you go over to Accy Web and seen what is written there.

Blooming typical of the muslims, over the top as usual.
Over the years I have seen many hundreds of cartoons and jokes that depict the christian god and many other faiths.

To get so worked up and cause so much rioting over some simple pictures is pathetic, especially when the same people also speak so much crud about other faiths can call them so much.

I think Muslims angry about alot more than just the comics.
We've invaded two 'Muslim' countries, killed tens of thousands of civillains. Then a state propped up by the west occupies palestine and kills thousands more denying people access to there families or occupations.

'They'? You mean all Muslims? Becuase you sir/madam are ignorantly mistaken. Give me some evidence that all Muslims want it all there own way, why don't you think their way is our way?

Stand up to them? For what? We need to stand up to western governments, just look at what the've done, this is just of teh top of my head.

Invaded Veitnam, Toppled democratically elected Iranian country, invaded afganistan - killed thousands of civillians, invaded Iraq - killed tens of thousands.

Straight away- Muslims fly commercial airliners into buildings in New York City. No Muslim outrage.

How dare you, Muslims were as shocked as the rest of us, there were words of condolences from Muslim bodys, my local Mosque said prayers for thoose who had died. Your willing to compare a group of fanatic *******s to a large peaceful people. I quote directly from the Quaran:

Billions of women? Billions of women! Theres only 6 Billion people alive, of whom 3 billion are female.

Please direct me to these 2-3billion women who are oppresed by Islam. I know of millions in Africa who are in poverty becuase of capitalism, Muslims are not at fault there.

Again Unsubstanciated, how have Billions of women been oppressed over time. Islam began in the 7th Century, that is roughly 1300 years ago.
So lets say the least you could argue by billions, would be 2billion people.
So 2Billion divided by 1300 gives us 769231 unique women a year have had there lives made a living hell by Muslims. Thats seven Million Six Thousand Three Hundred and Thrity one. Thats alot of people. And it builds up, assuming half the women die each year, I'm sure you think alot are killed by Islam or some such nonsense. Anyway.

In Year one we have :


Tell me, where are these people oppressed by Muslims?
Plus the numbers build up circumlativly.
So please ellaborate, and tell me where when and by whom these Billions of women were oppressed by Muslims.


And the rest are just single issue cases that reflect nothing, there was Muslim outrage, but alot of the stuff was for different reasons.

I support the freedom of chenniya, but I don't support the Tatics some people were driven to, re Beslan.

The Killing of the Isreali Athletes, that was by Palestinian Resistance Fighters.
I support the freedom of Palestine from Isreali oppresion but not the minority who go to far and kill.

Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage.

And these people who did this arn't Muslims, there monsters, ask any local Muslim and they will agree.
