I've just read this on Dalesfans (a forum for lovers of the Dales pony breed), and this is a pretty serious warning, so I thought I would copy/paste it onto here for my new friends.


Please Be Extremely Careful especially if using internet mail
such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on.
This information arrived this morning direct from both Microsoft and Norton.
Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet.
You may receive an apparently harmless email with a Power Point presentation "Life is beautiful". If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE
FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and delete it immediately. If you open this file, a message
will appear on your screen saying "It is too late now, your life is no
longer beautiful". Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTING IN YOUR PC and the
person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and
password. This is a new virus which started to circulate
on Saturday afternoon.
AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus
software's are not capable of destroying it.
The virus has been created by
a hacker who calles himself "life
owner".
PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS EMAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND
ASK THEM TO PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY.

Do be careful everyone...how awful to lose everything on your computer!!!!

I always post things like this poppy so you are not alone,it just keeps things in mind that there are bad things out there and we should all be vigilant,especially on the net.
Hoaxes or not......we should still post things like this to keep us all safe and wary.

Oh I love this, new virus's are made everyday, trying to warn people of one is generallly pointless as the chances are they'll never get it and will instead get a different one.

People just need to understand not to download any files they don't wish to, or don't know what they are. Plus getting an anti virus program, such as AVG (its free) can help, AVG even comes with an email scanner.

you get emails coming round all the time about if somebody@hotmail.com adds you you get a virus and it will destroy your computer.

AvG scans youre emails automatically.

AVG, spywareblaster, search & destroy & common sense are all free and can keep the nasties away.
