Problems with Sky+ ?

Hello, just in case anyone here is having a problem with thier sky+ box recently, an upgrade that we got a short while ago gave many of us a problem with using live pause & rewind.

Apparently this is a known bug & sky are doing little about it, although a patch should be downloaded in the dim & distant future :-)

A temporary fix (as it does come back) is to turn off instant rewind in the sky+ setup options screen, press the standby button till it goes red, unplug the box, sing a song (any song) then plug it back in, do not touch any buttons for a couple of minutes, then press standby buton to turn on, go & turn on instant rewind again.

Hey presto, it's working again - for now.

I was about to call sky over this, thought box was going funny - till I read about it on the digital spy forums.

i just pull the tele and the sky plug out of the socket for a few minuets ,then plug them back in and it resets itself ,,, just have to wait while it searches for listings

Got my sky connected today...............didn't go for sky+ this time.......maybe after xmas!

OOOh, that will cost you more.

existing customers do not usually get the big discounts that new customers do for sky+.

To tell you the truth i'm not really bothered about it if it is having problems.

I wouldn't exactly call it problems that might prevent someone getting it, sky+ is superb & is getting new features all the time, this is just the reasult of getting some new features & is sure to be sorted before too long.
Unlike say, NTL's Cable...lol
