October 21st!!! The 200th Aniversery of the Battle of Trafalgar!!!

It will be the 200th aniversery of the battle of Trafalgar on the 21st of October!!!! This battle saw the dearh of Lord Nelson and kept us from being invaded by Napolen!!!

this should be a big celebration all over the country, but instead it's London that get's it all.

Mind you, some people would probably find the celebration offensive no doubt ;-)

Trafalgar day should be a national holiday when I lived in Pompy as a kid we allways got the day off school and went and danced on Portsmouth Green. Why dont we Brits cellebrate our heros all other countries sem too.
As usual our navey was under manned not enough boats and we still won against all odds. Hoorah for the Admiral.:mat: :trink4: :England: :England:

It just seems to me that it's ok for other countries to celibrate their history and have their saint's days,and why should'nt they have their's and we have our's??? but us English seem bashful!!! I don't care if it's un pc I'll raise a glass to Nelson and the lads friday!!:pint:
