What's going on at the Litten tree??

I went to Burnley a few weeks back and the pub near the bus station the Litten tree was shut down!!! Now we have one in Blackpool and thats open!!! are they owned by the same group? I was told that the Burnley one closed down as the owners went bust!!! so what's going on???

I have been informed by Becky that it is owned by Enterprise Inns.

Dont know why it has shut though.

I would have thought it would do well being so central to the town!!

Maybe it's run like a franchise or something and the owner couldn't make a do of it? Either that, or it's being refurbished - they seem to do that a lot these days - if the takings go down it must be down to the decor, not the fact that they serve rank beer or not enough staff on the bar.
I'm not refferring to the litten tree here, just town centre pubs in general.

The Company Litten Tree went into liquidation all of their pubs in the uk closed.

If you know Blackpool it's across from Walkabout and Roxy!!!

Fiona's sister was made redundant from the Litten Tree in Burnley. They were tolf that it was bought by another company (The entire company) and the Burnley pub was running at a loss so they shut that one down. Happended very quickly though, she had instant notice on her arrival at work one day.

weren't aware they could sack you just like that
when i have bee back to burnley, i always found litten tree to be quite good, and always seemed packed to me - wheras walkabout in burnley always seems dull and empty

Yeah I enjoyed times in there and it was always busy. Dunno about comp, she was there for well over 12 months anyway so she must have got something. I'll ask next time I see her.

Well their was an article in the burnley express going back a few weeks saying that the company went into liquidation, I also know someone who worked there and he turned up one morning for a shift and there was a few of them sat outside waiting, they tried ringing the manager and he just said it is shut you no longer have jobs, and he hasn't been able to get back in touch with him and he has still got a months wage outstanding that he is owed
