Gambling

So the laws on gambling are being changed and Blackpool is hoping to turn itself into a Las Vegas style town despite saying it wanted to clean up it's tatty image.
Maybe I'm cynical, but there has been a large increase in online gambling over the last few years and the government has been loosing out on the taxes.
Do you want to see Blackpool full of casinos?

If they are done right then yes. I do'nt gamble myself(I am a booze Monkey) People in Las Vagas can also see shows and have a meal. Blackpool at the moment seem to be full of Stag and Hen parties and need to do something. People can have a bet if they like but my brother used to work in the Arcades and will tell you the house nearly alwasy wins!

My main concern is the children who go to Blackpool at the present time to play on the sands etc, don't know how parents would feel about taking them if there were gambling joints all over the place.

I would rather see happy families in blackpool but they are staying away because of so many people begging in doorways (there but for the grace of god) and drunks etc, Maybe if these casino,s were organised properly it might not be a bad thing , perhaps incorperated with a show or something like that. but its no good if people are going to blow all their money in .(the coin is in the air.G.C.

Agree with Granny C, about the incorcorporation with other attractions. had a lovely fish and chip lunch there recently at Harry Ramsdens followed by a show( Joseph and his amazing technicolour dreamcoat) before all that was an hour in the arcade! Everone thoroughly enjoyed , all twenty five!I hope they dont over do the gambling casino,s!
