ITV 50th birthday!! Whats your fav Advert?

I watched a programme on ITV the other night showing "the best ads" in the past 50yrs of ITV!
If you saw it did you agree with the top 20??
Off the top of my head the list had
I'd like to buy the world a coke
The Milky Bar kid
Pg tips chimps
creature comforts (Brithish Gas)
milk tray man
gold blend lovers
Moreen Lipman's Beaty (BT)
Boldyman in photo booth (Hamlet cigars)
The Guiness one(where he waits with a surfboard)
and the winner the Smash potato Martians
Did you agree with the result!!! I did'nt!!!! I've never found the talking creatures ad's for British Gas funny by that bloke who did Walice n Gromit!!
Do you have a fav advert? Some are better than the programmes!!!

One of the most memorable for me was the Michelin advert with the big fat gold bloke, ball bearings and pianos falling off bridges - extremley pretentious, but gorgeously photographed, and the velvet underground soundtrack topped it off nicely.

The guinness advert with the snowstorm cycling into a universe was good as well.

My fav advert is the one for Rollo's with a young boy teasing an Elephant with his last sweet!!! Years later he is watching a circus parade and he gets whacked by the same Elephant!!!!
Bev n Kev must be the worst ad in the world for me!!!

anyone have an ad that they can't stand???

I was re-minded that other ads in the top 20 were,,,
Joan Collins and Lenard Rossiter in the Chinzarno ads,
A British airways ad with thousands of people making shapes!!
the woman doing the shake n vac!!
anyone re-member any more???

This is about an advert about hearing dogs and shows lovely dogs! when i watched it at first I thought poor things and wondered about dogs being deaf and needing hearing aids? My next thought was about my deaf cat and i thought about getting a hearing aid for him- then i realized its an ad for dogs helping people with their deafness by alerting them - The strange thing was it alerted them to answering the phone- err? what is this about?? ?:Mysteriou Has anyone else seen this? This isnt my favourite add !will have to think of one!

Follow the bear beer adds he had the most amazing walk

and an old parrafin add with the Esso Blee dooler.
Oh and the sexy your never alone with a Strand ciggy add

i liked the add for daz,,that used to promote emerdale,with the two dogs that watched the washing machine going round:washing: :dogrun: :washing:

i liked the Oringinal Orang Tango man adds with Ray Wilkins before the usual PC Brigade got them banned (miserable gits)
Also liked the Weetabix adverts from the 80's with the skin head mod Weetabix biscuits
