Question School Closures

Failing schools in England that do not improve within a year could face closure.
Previously, schools have been given two years or more to turn themselves around.
Schools which failed under the new regime could be turned into new city academies or be taken under the control of a successful school in their area.
Those that do not improve after a year of failing an Ofsted inspection could be reopened with new leadership, federated with a successful school or closed outright.

Is this down to bad kids not wanting to learn?
Is this down to bad school teachers?
Is this down to bad funding?
Who is to blame?

Lets hear your views!!!

i think a lot as to do with discipline, if the teachers are not allowed to discipline the kids, then the kids are just going to play up. even the kids who want to learn do not get a chance because, of all the idiots acting the goat. bring back the cane and keep the unruly ones under control and the kids who want to do something might have a chance. too many do gooders, thats whats spoiling not just the schools, but everything :end: now a days

I must agree Silverscrim, the government and do gooders have taken all the power away from the teachers and this is why the teachers are getting attacked etc.
I was talking to my dad about it and he said "it would never have happened in my day,a quick caning and it would be over, and if you went home and told your parents you would get done again because you had been bad".......People's values have changed these days and they just dont give a sh*t.
Again it comes down to power, teacher training and money!!!
