Terrible weekend

As you may know i have been away for a couple of days and i thought i would share my little jaunt with you!!
How much bad luck can one person get?.........i swear this is all true!!!

Friday night goes to pick friends up from St.Annes in my car,realises i have no break lights,gets new bulbs they still dont work,its the wiring somewhere.

Saturday Morning sets off for warminster in my mitsubishi grandis 7 seater down to Warminster Wiltshire.Misses the correct junction on M6 to hit the other motorway as i went over the toll and shouldn't have,so i make an extended 1 1/2 hours detour to get to warminster as we was stuck in a traffic jam (Twice).

Saturday Teatime sets off to London from Warminster at 6pm as we had to wait for someone to finish work,stuck in every single traffic jam on the way,gets to London,so now we are looking for the Hotel,navigator giving Jason directions by the AA autoroute,these turned out to be fu**ing useless.Driving round London trying to find Travelodge in islington,Still struggling,we decide to ring hotel to get directions,the guy giving directions decides to take us on a mystery tour round london for half an hour,we reach hotel at 9:50pm.I am sorting rooms out while Becky orders food and drink as kitchen closes at 10pm.There is only 3 rooms booked when we wanted 4 (idiots)......we eat,get drunk and then slink off to bed at 2:30am.

Sunday Morning - we have breakfast and then go upstairs to pack,what happens?......the fire alarm goes off,we are all evacuated out of the hotel for about half an hour.Manages to get back in and get bags and get the hell out of there,we go for a drive around london,very nice day (got some great photo's)...i'll post them in the gallery later.

Sunday Dinnertime - Gets to channel 4 studios (Horseferry Road) earlier than we needed to,so everybody jumps out apart from me and becky,and i decide to go and fill the car up as we are setting off back straight after our business.Jason goes to petrol station,whilst waiting to get into one of the pumps,a clown decides he will reverse into my hire car,scratching front bumper and chipping paint,i ring police gets his details etc etc.Cheeky git offered me £20 to forget it,i said NO WAY!!.....it's not my car!!

Sunday Afternoon - Does filming in studio,we eventually finish at 8:15pm nearly 2 hours after we was told we would be done for 6:30pm,Jason is now getting worried because he has to drive back to Warminster to drop off relations and then back to Colne.

Sunday Night - Sets off back at 9pm to warminster,we decide to stop on the M3 for something to eat,we are sat in services watching sky news eating our KFC.Warnings of floods in London were posted and the Thames bursting or something like that,What happens next??......A mighty torrential pourdown with thunder and lightning,got soaked getting back to the car,gets back on motorway down to 30mph because of visibility.
Arrives in Warminster at about 12am.

Monday Morning - Has rest and then sets off back,stop a couple of times and then gets back to Colne at 5am this morning.

Jason very tired so i'm off back to bed,just thought i would share that with you,and realise that not all bad things happen to you........someone out there was aiming to give me a sh*t weekend.............and they succeeded!!

I'm sorry to hear about your traumas down in the 'smoke' Jason!
Driving in London is a nightmare, especially when your not used to it - usually takes me a few days to lose my 'considerate driver' mindset and adopt the 'dog eat dog' attitude that you need down there!
When I get grief I just shout "sorry, I'm not from round here" and wave. I always come back thinking they must all be mad to drive their cars down there on a daily basis. It's a great feeling once you pass the Lancashire sign on the way back, or your first sight of Pendle hill.
I'd like to know what you were being filmed for - and how come they didn't sort out transport?

Well i had a fab weekend
My mate picked us up - on time - from home in Cleveleys and we stayed at his gaff in Manch
Taxi picked us up at 4am - on time - and took us to airport
Had Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun morning in Drubrovnik, Croatia (will post piccies later)
Set off yesterday from hotel at 10:30 and arrived home at 19:00 to find my mum had made butties and doughnuts for our return :-)
Sorry to hear you and Flower had a crappy weekend Jay, but any bad luck I was due, obviously was transferred to you guys!!
