What about actual sites?

Instead of p2p software, are there any sites with freely available music on?
That way the kids can get music without being given access to the p2p software I use.

the short answer is no. I do quite a bit of downloading and have tried most sites and nearly all the legit ones charge now, the only ones about that dont are the p2p or the torrent sites

I have always found ares excellent for downloading.

i use ares too plus torrents...ares for my music though. Its easy to use and fast.

click on the link to the site gc, then download ares regular, give it a minute to download. Then go to your desktop were you will see ares set up, click on that and follow instructions. If i can do it then so can you and wayne.

don't forgetthat re-distribution of music is illeagle.

BUT

If was to limewire pro is the best weapon out there, or alternativley, pay the £5 a month and use napster for music.

and http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ for azureus the bit torrent client without spyware or adware!

however if you want fully legal downloads and want to support unsigned artists www.soundclick.com lots of good music for free, of all styles.
it gets my vote!

BAD!!

It checks on your surfing habits/visited websites and reports back to website/organisation that installed the spyware file.This is where a lot of your rubbish pop ups and advertising to your inbox comes from.
I'm sure i covered this last year on the computers forum,,,,have a search folks.
