Nightclubs - Love or Hate?

What are your views on Nightclubs?

I personally dont like them and feel safer in Blackpool in a club than in Burnley centre.That is really sad when you think that i was born and raised in Burnley for 20 years,and do not feel safe to go out down the centre on a Friday or Saturday night,because of the trouble.

I'm the same Jason, although I know this attitude is a bit unreasonable as there are trouble spots in most towns on a fri/sat night. The thing is though, I don't think what is on offer in Burnley is worth the hassle. At least when I go out in other towns/cities, there is a novelty value. I do tend to feel safer in larger towns and cities , probably due to the choice of places to go being higher - in other words, being able to leave the streetfighting types to their own devices and getting messy in my own way without having to explain "what the f**k I'm looking at".

There might be good places to go in our town, but I haven't been clubbing here for ages, so I can't give an informed opinion on what it is like nowadays, nor do I care that much - I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything, just a bit sad at my perception of what it has turned into.

I agree that i prefer to go out in other towns than Burnley.
There is trouble all over the place,But i'm like you,i feel safer in bigger towns.........I can go around Blackpool on my own and not worry about anything,shame i can't do that in Burnley,without worrying that someone is going to glaas you,nick yer phone etc etc.

i go out in manchester and its a really good night out.
but i dont go to townie/chav places all the places i go are alternative pubs and never once have a ever seen any trouble

i dont go out in burnley at all at night time and i agree it is a shame when you dot feel safe outside at night in a town you live ... but i feel safer in door at night than out doors and being a single mom anyway i never have the time to go out lol ...

2 years back i went out with a few people to the swan and had my phone took from my hands while i was using it some guy just ran past me and got it ... then last year my house was done over while i was in bed sleeping .. so i dont go out much now at all

boring to drink in though i think and you dont get the break away from the kids.
as my mum was an alcholic drinking in to me just seems the same as what she did

i just cant be fussed with the trouble of walking down the road and ya get what you looking at ... or anything its just not worth it ...

dont get that over here neither hun lol and i do go out pretty dressed up lol plus my bf lol is 6ft long black hair huge but noone bothers over here so many diffo types of people aroung because we are near manchester

i like going out having a laugh with mates loud music and drink(but i dont drink much)getting out the house for a while and getting food and staggering home lol
