Stop Nuisance phone calls.

wenever you answer the phone, press #. the person on the other end will think its a fax machine, so therefore will not bother you .

we withold numbers at work and it annoys me when a customer cuts the line, you try and ring her back out of courtesy, only to be told the number doesnt accept withheld numbers, and then its my fault i dint ring her back! grrrrrr

Talking of nuisance calls - what is the deal with the one's where your phone rings, you pick it up, and then the line goes dead?

Is this just someone putting the phone down, or is there something more sinister?

I used to get those calls a lot,but no longer i put a block on them. it's a computer that dials random numbers when someone answers then they know it's a genuine phone number.

a computer swichboard dials say 50 numbers and the first to be picked up is the one that gets spoken to by a human. The rest are just either hung up by the computer or by the person who picks up. Ive tried explaining this to my grandma at least 20 times lol!! Siilly beggar still shouts a swear word to the silence!! Shes 76!! She shocks even me sometimes lol!!
