Olympic Bid Made: It's Paris Or London

Olympic officials have decided who will host the 2012 Games - and London and Paris are waiting with bated breath as to who will get the honour.Earlier Moscow, New York and Madrid were voted out by the International Olympic Committee.

The London team presented its bid to host the 2012 Games, following packages from Paris, New York, and Moscow.

Lord Coe, the London 2012 chairman and a double Olympic champion, said the capital was offering a "vision of inspiration and legacy" for future generations.

His team was followed by Madrid, the last presentation before the members of the IOC retired to cast their votes.

Britain had a tough act to follow after the Paris team provided an impressive video of how the city would host the games.

Moscow were the first to be voted out, followed by New York and Madrid.

The fourth and final round of voting, between London and Paris, has finished - the decision will be announced in less than an hour.

Would this be good for britain??

Maybe your kids might want to take up sport and then they may go for trials for the olympics in their own country.
That would be a great achievement,if this makes kids take up more sporting activities then good luck to them..........why hold them back?

yeah i agree with you on that one and id never hold my kids back actually my daughter is doing football after school.but if she wanted to try out she could do it anywhere it was really though.

i cant say i am excited ,its all london and they will get millions spent down south ..
it would have been better if it had been central england ...

If it creates more jobs then it's a good thing but i'm not interested in the olympics. Never watch it on tv.

I only tewnd to watch the sprint races,and i agree that it should have been in Central England

with a bit of luck london might end up millions indebt,like some of the other cities that hosted the games. then we can all gloat at the southern softies.
