The term "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" springs to mind, but seriously, we already have loads of forms of ID, why do we need another? Why can't exisiting forms of ID be made 'smart' or at least a bit cleverer?

Of course it's a good idea to have them all on the 1 ID, that way when it's forged our entire life can be stolen, not just our money. :-)

They have ID cards in Spain dont they it stop bombings there. the terrorists seam able to get all the passports and doc they need. With all the knew tec: about dont see that I D cards will stop them.I grew up with ration books and I D etc didnt like it.

thousands and thousands of passports are lost in the post each year
that is what scares me
