| jaseyboy When we arrived there were only six people including relatives in the waiting area. Regarding the cars that had been ticket yes the deserved it, also the staff cars should have been booked , as all them were parking in disabled parking bays without displaying a valid Blue badge. The nurse that was shouting had no reason to and she was very unprofessional, so much so I believe that several other people intend to make, complaints about her and the situation that Thursday night. The reason I have said the possible nationality of the doctor, is to make it easier for the chief executive to find him, to remind him to ware is name badge. Could I also point out that I don’t have a vendetta with the hospital, I care about the hospital and this is why I am trying to get the service improved back to the standards the hospital used to have. Mattylad No I don’t go looking for problems, these are problems I saw, I have been asked by the chief Executive if I see any problems to record them and let her know, this is the only way that things which are wrong can be put right. Flower Could I point out the National Health Service is notfree it’s paid for by us tax payers? Darren As for working in the profession, I have been a nurse since 1974, I do understand the pressures of the medical teams; I also work Voluntary at the hospital, and with other agencies involved with the health service, but sometimes it takes publicity to get things done. On a final note to everyone I feel that it is a waste of time putting information on this site that may one day help you. I hope you are never put in a situation at the hospital that many people have written to me about. If one day you do need my help you can always contact me through my site, and no matter what you have said I will do my best to help. I hope you all have a long and happy life. Goodbye |

| well ive tried to stay out of this one but in some aspects i agree with steve and other aspects i can see what everyone else is saying. me personally would never set foot inside that hospital ever again as i have to agree that the staff and service is disgusting,i has a lot of problems and annoyances with the hospital but as everyone has stated i dont myself tend to keep going on about it,but thats just me personally i do keep stuff to myself. no disrespect to you steve for sharing your opinions but as youve seen some other the people on here dont agree or care.me personally i know where your coming from hun and i see what your trying to achieve but doesnt look like many people are listening or interested. but thats not to say steve that your wrong in anyway just that maybe that when you come on here have a chat about other things instead just not the hospital. people think thats all you talk about so theyve got a little bored i think. i really hope you dont leave the site hun as its a good site for everyone to share what they want to share. to everyone else who have jumped on steve i really dont think its nice to have a go at him and slag him off for posting something that obviously means a lot to him,if people dont like it really then dont read it or post about it just ignore it. i hope ive not offended anyone writing this but it would be a shame to lose someone over this.

| One women a few weeks ago brought her dog into a&e when she came by ambulance. The staff were ripping their hair out at this, one nurse shouting, I'm not a bloody vet. I do some work at the hospital but for what ever reason, the staff are tied down and external pressures means they give preferential treatment to those that are likely to kick up a fuss because the nurses are the ones that will get bollokings if they don't do so. Call it political correctness if you want, but if I were a nurse in A&E, I'd soon lose my temper. That nurse was probably as frustrated as you that she has to be unfair in this way, she's probably on a crap wage thats better that what she will get when the big wigs get on her back when someone screaming and shouting doesn't get there own way. It's a lot easier on a ward, you just look after who is there, you know them and there's none of these preferential problems. It's not the nurses that are the problem its all this red tape, paper work and positive discrimination that they have to adhere to. My only visit to hospital recently was on the advice of NHS direct. After having severe stomach cramps for three days, with diarohea and vomiting, along with a rash, bad pins and needles etc. they said I'd better pop in. I obviously wasn't well as my pulse was through the roof so I didn't have to wait that long. I was dehydrated because of the vomiting and had to be treated for gastroenteritis which I'd probably picked up from one of the patients on the ward I visit. I was treated quickly, and the student nurses and doctors were fine. This was a Saturday afternoon. (Incident at top not connected to this visit, I was dropping my sister off who'd done some damage her ankle). I can understand where Steve is coming from, maybe he see's these things more, but I don't think approaching a nurse on a shift during a busy evening was the best thing to do. |

| It's always sad when people feel it's necessary to leave this forum! as long as the rules are followed then All are welcome! Steve if you want to go fine thats your choice, but in my view you've put your case and lets leave the matter of BGH to everyones private opinion and move on! |
