Lack of respect,(yob culture)

I was annoyed when reading about Kate Moss recently and the outrageous way she treated the couple who,s house she rented they must have been devastated ! I went out for a lunchtime drink yesterday and this loud yob was shouting to friends f------ this. and f------ that ! Disregarding anyone in earshot, right next to my ears by the way! Its happening too much!My kids have more respect than to do this to anyone. I dont want confrontations, Carlo was,nt there at the time but would have told them! Our lunchtime was spoilt this senseless thicko, doubt it would happen in France! :(

just because there are a few mindless teens or "yobs" does not meen it is all young people who are like this though.

I find it annoying when me and my mates get "tarred with the same brush" when other youths cause a nuisance in the area.

I know this has nothing to do with what you said I was just pointing it out to you. people only notice the "yobs" and nobody pays any attention to the good minded youth culture !

I admit not all kids are the same and once again,its down to parenting........and what their parents let them get away with anything.
I'm strict in my house and dont want my kids doing the bad things i did at 14 years of age!

i agree with all kiki says ,its second nature to some kids today to be yobbish...
and i agree with pc,wiz,,they are all getting tarred with the same brush ...
all i can say to the nice kids out there is ,sorry you are being blamed for the way your peers act.....i know you are not all the same..but its not a nice world at the moment...............

It is now accepted that its unfair to sterio type someone becuase of their skin colour. The P word to descirbe asian people is now seen as racist (rightly so).


However the new scapegoat now is young people. The word "Yob" is wideley used.

Just last week on the fron page of the burnley express : "Hoodies Steal Disabled Boys Bike". This headline is appalling. I wear a hoodie, do I steal bikes from disabled people? Or anyone else for that matter? No. So why are the papers creating a generalistion like that.

Stop spreading the hate. If the person swearing was a black 40 year old you wouldnt say, "This Black person was swearing all teh time, theres too many black people swearing. Most black people are violent ect. ect." You wouldnt say this becuaseit is now accepted as racist and people realise that just becuase one black person robbed you doesnt meen all of them will.

However you still make thsi association with young people. Well I skateboard I Wear a Hoodie and Im not a yob. Only a minority of young people act with yobbish behavior.

Problem is that it's unlikely that we notice the non yobbish ones though, because all we see & hear are the ones that ARE going around using the yobbish behaviour.
(most likely abusing the good kids while they are at it).

As for boredom, who is to blame? they themselves that's who; there is plenty to do for the youths of today, sport, fishing, walking, camping, voluntary work etc. But it seems they would rather stare at a pc monitor or playstation all day, the only time they go outside is to hassle people going into shops to buy them beer or fags.

Ii am not tarring all youth with the same brush, i know some nice helpful youths who are grand people, i am getting at the lazy can't be bothered, want it all handed on a plate kids.

I think its the total lack of insensitivity towards others that shows the lack of good parenting. What else do we call these people?, i realize there are in the minority : thank God! :(

The simple truth is that some people have no idea of the word Respect!
They don't respect others or other peoples property, but they themselves Expect us to Respect them, we need to make everyone know that we are a community and that we all must give and be given the same consideration!

You really think that is poverty?, the people who live on those estates get enough money to manage, i know this as i am disabled and on benefits and i manage ok. If these people choose to spend their money on booze or smack, crack whatever that is their own choice!
It is the residents who allow estates to become slums, due to lacking any personal pride, why can't they form a residents group and pressure the council to improve things?, lack of gumption that's why.
I have been to a few countries in my time, Egypt, Hong kong, Cyprus, Persian gulf for some, That is real poverty.
As for rich kid yobs, open your eyes and look around.
