Vetrerans of WW2 Lapel Badge!

I've heard about a very specail lapel badge that is being given to the brave men and women who served in the UK Armed Forces in WW2.
All are inentitled to a veterans Lapel Badge.
It looks very smart and is finely detailed,it comes in it's own presentation box.Other people that can claim this Badge are people that served in the Cyprus Regiment,Merchant Navy,Home Guard and the Polish Forces under the UK command,War Widows and Widows who are getting a War widows penshion'

Do they also get a t-shirt that says "I went to war for my county and all I got was this lapel badge!" ?

It's a wee bit late to be giving out stuff like this isn't it, I mean, most of them are dead (GRTS) and the rest would most likely think of it as a wee insulting.

AFAIK the majority of them have campaign medals etc anyway.

Also, if they have to claim for it in person, most are in thier dotage & are unlikely to be able to be able to fill out the nessasary beurocracy to get it.
