i had this happen about 6 weeks after my nan died.
when i was little i used to talk to my other nan all the time and go mad if anyone disturbed me cos she would go away, this went on till i was about seven and it started on my second birthday 5 months after she died.
when my grandad was dieing last year i was in the pictures and as soon as the film started i became really edgy and irritated for no reason and at the time put it down to the fact i was pregnant but when the film finished and i got home there were loads of messages from my mum telling me i needed to get to the hospital. my mum had been trying to get hold of me since around the time i would of got to the cinema.
on the day of the funeral anything that could happen to make me late did and then when i got there the church was that full that i had to go into a separate room that was linked up by tv and all we could get was snow on it even though it was working fine only an hour before. after the service we was meant to go to tha creamatorium but the road was that busy that i lost the whole congregation and never having been to the crematorium i didn't know where it was. (my grandad always said that he didn't want his grankids at his funeral).
when it came to his first anniversary was when i really started to accept he had gone and was finding it hard to cope with. four weeks later is my nans anniversary and i dreamt that he was at the bottom of my stairs (he had never been in my house) in this dream all i said was what are you doing here. my grandad said nothing just leant forward so i could kiss his cheek like i had always done then disappeared. i believe my grandad had come to let me know he is still around and since then me and my husband(who is a sceptic) have been seeing a shadowy figure stood it the doorway between my two rooms and walking past the kitchen door. i have also felt somone sitting next to me.
tb have you tried going to the spiritualist church. two of my aunts have done this the first was an accident she accompanied her mother in law to a one on one spiritualist session and my aunt was sat at the other end of the room when the spiritualist started asking who mary was my aunt's mother in law didn't know who this was but the spiritualist started describing my nan in every detail. my other aunt went to a church meeting to see what happened and she got her ex through who died about 15 years ago.

You will never be able to make up ur mind untill you have experienced summink of that nature. For example my Step Father was dying from cancer and his last wish was to sit on the beach with a beer, with Great Yarmouth being a big fave to both my mum and him I took them to the beech for a week, unfortunately we broke down along the way and this showed on my step fathers health, anyway we eventually got there and very nice too, it was the evening he died after having his last wish. Before he died he had a very distinct smell about him (slightly pungent) it was the cancer, its a smell that if you experience you will never forget it, its quite bad. after arranging the funeral details whilst still away from burnley we left a day later on the long journey home, for some reason we stopped for a break at exactly the same spot as we broke down, as we pulled in to the carpark we (my mother and I) at the same time breathed in the same smell as what my step father had....... It was really weired, this continued for about 6 months after, at any given time, other things that have occured are tapping noises coming from the spare room where he was passing time making a model airplane in the weeks towards his end, things continued to happen things where hidden, disapeared, re-appeared.
