PEDESTRIANS - DEBATE AND DISCUSS

Pedestrians are an absolute pain in the ar*e.

One today when i was taking the kids to school,a blind guy with a stick walked straight in front of my car,he never looked where he was going and was inches from my bull bars.

I did have one yesterday when i wanted to turn into my street,an oldish gentleman just walked straight acroos the road without looking to see if anyone was turning.
This happens frequently and people wonder why there are accidents!!
People slate us car drivers but pedestrians do have a responsibility as well.Why cant they watch the roads as well when they are crossing........especially at junctions and corners.

Blame will be passed to and from one another,but pedestrians are a nuisance when they are talking to someone crossing the road and they dont use the green cross code.

Come on you ramblers..........didnt you do the green cross code @ school.
....and school kids are the worse,they actually think they have the right to walk at a snails pace when crossing!!

You forgot to mention them giving you the finger/verbal abuse/moronic stare like your supposed to be scared...cars are made of METAL, it might bend a bit on contact with flesh, blood and bone, it won't won't fly 30 feet in the air landing broken and bleeding in the middle of the road.

And i am sorry to have to say it, but asian kids are the worst! Why dont their parents learn them some road sense? Anyone driven down Stoneyholme in Burnley, dont know why they just dont pedestrianise it:(

i know pedestrians are supposed to put a foot on the crossing to gain right of way ,but some cars drive up so fast that you think they,r not going to stop .then they jam on their brakes at the last moment ,,,,well sod that for a game of soldiers i want to keep TWO feet

I have nearly been knocked down a couple of times at the asda, drivers seem to think because it is not a main road they do not have to let people across the zebra. I have reported it to staff at the store telling them to repaint the zebra so drivers can see it.

That's a bit harsh - and expensive! Better to send in a crack team of 'ferral youths' to demolish the over the top traffic calming chicanes/bumps etc...

Car drivers can be nutters as well as peds! We are very fragile things, and like Humpty Dumpty!, if we get broken were a burger to mend! :(

Yeah, like I said earlier - cars can be fixed easier, so why run in front of cars on purpose? One time I'll be tempted to drop a cog and give them a real fright.

Lol...........Stoneyholme..........what a dump,i lived down there when i was about 3-5 years old,best thing we did was move!!
The chicanes are a nightmare in an arctic..........lol
