Question As the election been boring?

Now I don't want to get into the who are you voting for stuff!
I just want to know your thoughts on this election!
I think it must be one of the longest and dullest ones I can remember,
I know alot of people are fed up with it all, and just want it over with,so why are they so long?
I'm glad I'm not in America, theirs go on for about a year!
and have you felt that politics as got to a stage where it's not important to get to know what the parties are going to do for the countries best interests, just that they are'nt as bad as the other lot?
I can well see why some people won't bother to vote!
It's sad to think that only one in three first time voters will vote, I think it's very important to get as many people interested in politics and to get people to vote, but if things keep up like this no one will bother!
I'd rather be told what they will do, and I know it's a bit much to ask, but work together! instead of pulling the other's party to bits. :whack:
So thats me done, what do you think?

I don't remember any 'exciting' general election campaigns, I've only experienced either despair or indifference. The present one leans towards the latter, as they all seem to be much of a muchness and all seem to be missing the point.
The tories are only sniping at Tony Blair because they don't have anything positive to contribute - they make labour look good, and that's saying something.
The parties are not what they used to be, there was a time when you knew what each party stood for, these days I could pick and choose policies from all the parties that I agreed with but couldn't nail my colours to the mast and support any one of them staunchly because they don't have a clear message of what they are about.
One thing that is needed is to make young people think that their vote matters - they are our future after all, so it's best to get them interested in politics early on, otherwise it will be down to the older generation to vote in governments who determine our young people's future prosperity.
Going off this present uninspiring campaign - it's not looking promising...

I have noticed a big BNP trailer up by Gannow roundabout the last few days.
Could get exciting up there :D

I'm still waiting for a polly tician to come round here & say hello, let alone offer to kiss the babies head. (not that I have a baby :D)

Has anybody heard anything mentioned about anything other than bloody Iraq, and then Imigration?
Anything?
Anything at all?????
No - exactly - am sick to death of hearing about the above two subjects. Have an opinion fine, but move on
I want to know whether the government is going to axe my job, mortgage rate, housing, schools, hospitals etc etc etc
