Max payne

I've just bought max payne for my Xbox.
Has anyone else played ?
what did you think to it?
any tips?
One annoying thing I've noticed is that the character blocks my view of where I'm aiming sometimes.
Also it's possible to see around corners when the character wouldn't be able to. I think I prefer first person games to second or third person .
