Right, I got this as an email from my friend a few years ago, and it is still killing my brain every time I read it! I printed it off to take to work with me, and came across it the other day, so, being the kind person I am, I thought I'd share it with you all. I don't know the answer to it (pretty pointless then, isn't it!?!) So, here goes!

'This is going to make you so MAD.
There are three words in the English language that end in''gry.'' ONE is angry and the other is hungry, Everyone knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for.
Everyone uses them every day, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word. What is it?

It was originally a trick question and the answer was "language" but it's kind of like Chinese Whispers where the original wording has been lost in the passing on of the riddle from people who didn't understand it to other people who didn't understand it.

The original wording was something like:

"Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is."

Well, that makes more sense than the one I posted, as when I googled some words ending in gry, there were quite a few, which made the question I asked a bit stupid!
