Brian Miller 1937-2007

Just heard the news that former player and manager Brian Miller passed away in Burnley General Hospital after a short illness at the age of seventy.

Am too young to remember him playing, but remember him managing us during the infamous Orient Game, and following it up with a Wembley final!!!!!

Every credit to him, and condolences to his family

Used to drink with Brian in The Thornton Arms up Pike Hill when i lived up Brunshaw.......
....Great bloke who will be sadly missed.

He was from my era....along with Jimmy Mac , Alex Alder , Ray Pointer ,
when Jimmy Adamson was the manager

went to the the turf to see the funeral proccesion, he got a good turn out, all the cars and the hearse had burnley scarves and flags, RIP Brian

apparently there were over 200 Claret fans at t'Turf to see the funeral procession go by
