New Sexy Clarets Chat Room on Burnley Web!

We used to have a chatroom on MSN called 'Sexy Clarets' and used this on matchdays for Clarets who couldnt make the match. We exiles tuned into Clarets World or 2br and chatted about the game whilst listening to the match commentary on the radio.

The fools at MSN have now done away with the chatroom facility on all their sites but undeterred Neal has kindly allowed me to set-up a new Sexy Clarets chatroom facility on Burnley Web.

I didn't realise that. how long ago did that happen ? I've just checked hatterstown and it's gone. I suppose you could of course get a java applet chat and put that on a web page.

Aye, they were all taken down about 16th October! Must have missed any announcements since I just went in on Tuesday and wondered what the hell had happened! Big mistake by MSN in my opinion. I wont be using their services again if I can help it! It looks like they have done it in order to get folk to use Windows Live Messenger which is an absolute mare so im told

A few are coming over from the old Sexy Clarets chat room on MSN now, but it would be great if we could get a load more of the Claret fans that are members here. We have had up to 8 folk in the Chatroom

For those of you who might be interested, if you cant make a Clarets game eg because you are exiled etc, you can join us in the chatroom and join in with the chat and discussion as we listen to 2br or ClaretsWorld. Even if you cant tune in to those,we will keep you updated as to what is happening. Tis fun

Well, that was nice, I recieved no email from msn warning me, fist I knew was when you tlod me, the chat redirect was still there, it just said 'ooops we can't find that page'. Looks like a lot have gone and got a java chat applet and embedded it in a normal web page. Nowhere near as good as the chat on here.

Yep,I also find those Java applet things knacker my Mozilla browser for some reason! It freezes it and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to escape from it! The Flash based chatrooms here are really cool

These Java Chat Applets still seem to knacker my Mozilla Browser even though I was advised to download a bit of software as a plug-in for Mozilla! Damn thing wouldnt install!! Anyway I wont be using the New Sexy Clarets room much now as my colleagues on 'The Longside' have set up a java applet site, so will persevere with that on match days and use the security prone IE. Might broaden the use of the NSC for non-match day discussion for all Clarets
