Someone is sueing BFC because they got hit with a ball!!

Last night on Northwest tonight it reported that someone who goes on the Turf is going to sue the club, because they got hit in the face by a football when they attended a pre-season match and is now suffering from blurred vision!!!
Is it just the risk you take going to see a game?? or is it the responcibility of in this case Burnley FC or whoever to insure this sort of thing does'nt happen??? What do you think??
Is it compensation culture gone mad?? or is it getting justice???

As for me I'm not botherd just because it's BFC it could be any club,and unless we want to have to have mega insurance premiums we must get back into the habit of having old fashiond accidents!! and being hit with a ball is part of going to a football game if you ask me!!! In America some doctors refuse to treat patients because they are too scared to be sued if something goes wrong!!
I'm all for people getting justice but sometimes sence must be called for and I blame the claims are us brigade!!!

Good points, but health and safety law means that the club must prevent that from happening. They have to protect all persons on their grounds from injury. But then, it is also down to individuals as well so perhaps the fan should have either:

a.) Worn protective head gear
b.) Not gone to the match
c.) Not sat in the goal posts
d.) Stop being a money grabber and go and support Man United

To be fair, the woman in this case didn't look like she was after money for being hit by the ball. What I think she was after was better care after the incident and an apology for the lack of care she experienced.
Her and her husband are apparently long-time fans, so I don't think they are after a quick buck.
I know on motorsport event tickets they print disclaimers about the risk of injury and how motorsport is dangerous, maybe they need to do it on football match ones as well!

Think she will get something out of it, I mean if it was aimed at the crowd. Suppose the club would be at fault anyway as they should protect fans from footballs.

THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE AT BFC ARE ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC IN MY OPINION, AND THEY HAVE BEEN FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS OR SO
