Bleak House

The other day when I was in town I saw a bus with this fascinating destination showing. I have 'googled' but it just comes up as a place on bus timetables.

Is this as interesting as it sounds, i.e. a real Bleak House??? Can anyone enlighten me? Thank you in advance.

As far as I know, and I could well be wrong but Bleak House Is an area somewhere around about the top of Manchester Road/Rossendale Road/Glen View Road area.

But I am only guessing at that and so could be wrong, and I don't think there is much up there to be honest but houses. could be wrong though.

Don't think it's quite that far up Rossendale Rd. As far as I know it's the area just above Cog Lane where the Indian Restaurant is. I know it's not a million miles form the top of Rossy Rd but I bet those who do live at the top would prefer not to be classed as living in Bleak House

To be honest it was a guess I know buses used to run and still as far as I know run from Higherford bus terminus up to Bleak House but I was only guessing as my knowlage is not as good with Burnley as it is with Pendle having lived there for 9 years.

when we lived in burnley ,bleak house along with stoops was a dump...i dont know whether its improved or not

Bleak House is beyond Rosehill, maybe it was called after an old house which was there years ago?
