| Anyone know how the roundabout works at Active Way / Royal Road? I believed that if I wanted to go straight up Active Way towards Colne Road, I use the right hand lane. The left lane is for turning the first left off the roundabout. It's just that as I was coming off the roundabout to continue up Active Way, a driving instructor from BSM was on my left side forcing me to speed up to get past. I then shook my head repeatedly. I was told that if i'm coming off the first exit, I use the left lane and all others use the right lane. This roundabout only has two lanes leading to it, which appear just as you come up to the give way markings.

| I always thought that because there are two lanes as you approach the roundabout and two lanes to exit (as you go towards Colne Rd), just stay in the same lane. ie. if you want the turn off for Halfrauds, approach the roundabout in the left lane and exit in the left lane, leaving you in the correct lane to turn off later on...I have wondered myself at times though, I do think the roundabout itself could do with lane markings, which would make things clearer.

| Have you seen their prices?? lol They are good for some bits, but for service items your better off going to a motor factors believe me! Just had someone have to brake a bit sharply today on that roundabout, thing is, it's a bit of a free for all without and lane markings and nobody seems to indicate these days so you have to second-guess where people are intending to go :mad The mini roundabout next to do it all is just as bad, if everyone would indicate it would be a lot smoother flowing. But if they are coming down from the mitre and in the left lane, they think everyone knows they are going left, but that lane is for going straight on as well. ...Don't get me started on gannow roundabouts...!!

| Now I actually find Gannow roundabouts straight forward, bit like whacky races but at least there are proper road markings. I suppose it depends on who else is driving and lane hopping on there at the same time! |
