I am looking to contact anyone who was associated with my late father during his time at Brook Hall, Calderstones or Burnley General Hospital as well as the local pubs in the area. My Father, Alan Douglas was an Enrolled Nurse most likely working with mental health patients; he sadly passed away at the age of 65 in April 1998 after suffering with Emphysema.

I know Alan remarried in the early 80s, unfortunately to my deep regret they don’t wish to have contact. I have also recently discovered that I had another two sisters living in Accrington one of whom died in 2004, the other a wonderful personality has become close, unlike me, she never really knew him as he left her family when she was 3 years old. I do know that there maybe other relatives living in or around Burnley and Accrington areas as well as a host of people who would have know him.

All I am trying to do is build a picture of our fathers later years so that we might know and understand him a little more. We want nothing from anyone other than to share memories and if possible any photographs of him and his families that might survive. If anyone can help us in anyway possible, no matter how slight, then please contact us.
