Default Gallagher - Mulrooney Family Tree

I am researching roots of my family in Burnely and would like to make contact with other roots of the Gallagher/Mulrooney family of the 1880's.

If anyone is a relative of Thomas Mulrooney, ex Sligo or Ellen Anne Mulrooney please let me know. Also James Gallagher, ex Sligo or Michael Gallagher living in Charles Street 1881 and Roper Street 1891.

Does anyone one have copy of Fishwick's map of Burnley, 1827 or photo's of Charles Strret, Edward Street or Huffling Hall I can purchase?

Many thanks

John Gallagher

Hi Jellytot

This one is also useful: http://www.ancestry.com/trees/

There are heaps of free places to record your info. The most important thing is to get accurate information to start with. Good luck!

I may have some information in certificates and census material about Michael Gallagher, in particular a birth for a Mary Ellen, c1880, which I ordered by mistake. Are you descended from the Charles Gallagher, calico-printer, who was in a couple of early (19th census? If you have not seen the 1841 or 1851 census, I will look up my notes and tell you the reference.

Hi John, found this site by accident and noticed your letter. Contacting you as I do my family tree. The family name is BROGAN and they lived at 6 Roper St(from censu 1881/91) and 2 Charles St (from 1861/71) On the 1861 census I have a James/Mary and Edward(child)Mulroney (possibly relatives? names varients) as borders living at Charles St with the family of Brogan. The Brogans came from Mayo/Sligo around 1851. 6 Roper St was a grocer shop/home run by my family, but haven't found any pictures of the street. I recently found out that area was known as the 'PARK' Will be visiting Burnley in the coming months to try to find pictures etc., at the local library so will keep you in mind when looking. Kind Regards CANCAN

Hi Jane, I'm in Manchester and i'm also researching my family history in Burnley. I have a small amount of information on a Mr Culeen 1880, who erected a large wooden structure on the Cattle Market for holding 3000 persons for melodramas, variety and circus performances. Your Mr Culeen? Hope to here from you soon Karen

Hi John, not sure if your still after photos as I notice there has been no reply to posts, But searching for photo's I have found one for Edward St for purchase, It is copyrighted so it will not be allowed to be published, although they will allow you to purchase photo. I notice you now have one for Charles St. If you are interested let me know. Karen
