Hmm... did I read something about the Circ being sold recently? Passing thought, not sure about that. Talbot in Burnley have live bands, usually of the Blues genre. The Bull and The Clayton in Nelson have Karaoke on but I'm not recommending them as I've never been in when its been on.

I recall seeing that one opposite the bus station (is it sidewalk?) having a karioke machine in. But then it's been a few years since I was last in there. Heck, it's been a few years since I was in any pubs in Burnley. I do all my singing in the car where no one else can hear me 8-)

Thanks for all your tips & suggestions! Lots to work on there! Keep them coming if anybody else has any recommendations!

Has anybody heard of 'Jim's Caff' in Colne and if so do they have the address or at least the street name? Similarly the Sparrowhawk in Fence?

| I've heard of Jim's Caff, but I'm not sure where it is exactly. I think it's a folk/acoustic act type venue. The Lava/Ignite place on hammerton street used to have tribute acts on - not been down for ages though. I saw a Jam and a Madness/Bad Manners act there a while back, they were both very good, but I can't remember what they were called or where they were from - sorry not much help! There's a Rolling Stones tribute on at the Mechanics soon as well. OOPS! Thought I was posting in the tribute acts thread - sorry!

seen as how we are all on the wrong thread here, one of the biggest nights we had at the Circ was a Stone Roses tribute band, complete sell out, The Clone Roses they are called but are based in Newcastle if I remember right
