Night Life In Burnley

Not ventured into town for a night out for ages, but when I did I just felt an overwhelming sense of despondency.

Sorry i cant help you on the night life scene as everytime i come to Burnley i end up in a pub called Reedley for a cracking meal and then i get taken to Byerden House a working mans club...so its all fun for me lol.

If it's anything like Accrington yes I'd feel incredibly old but if we ever go out it is for a meal. The only other times we've been out to concerts and the like it's been to 'old fogie' type stuff where everyone else is the same age as us!

Nope .. never feel old when I have a night out in Burnley .. ok .. ya' have permission to look at my profile to see how old I am... tee hee.

Thing is, these days, whether, Accy, Burnley, Blackburn, Man .. there does not appear to be any ageism, and accepted whatever age.

I think Burnley is great for a night out now, with lots of great pubs in a small area.

it might sound a bit silly as i am only 29 but i do to feel old going down town nowadays when i was 18to23ish used to go down all the time and always knew someone in every pub and bar but nowadays go down and dont know a sole.its a young lads game me thinks.

I prefer to go out with friends for a meal and a nice glass of wine... or two! Its much better when you can sit down and have a natter, plus you can hear what the other person is saying!

I feel old going out in any town centre these days, mind you I've felt like that for twenty years, so I haven't bothered for twenty years

Yea, I have on occasions felt like the "oldie" especially if I'm with my daughter. Certain places more than others. Luckily my daughter and I are karaoke freaks and the places that have these are generally mixed ages so suits us both.
