That is very sad, and if his death is due to transfering to BRH it is disgusting. My father was in BRH in January and luckily my sister, aunt and myself stopped with him around the clock (he was in for two days). We fed, changed and washed him and also changed his bedding. There was just not enough staff to do it. God only knows what would have happened if we weren't allowed to stop with him.

My first husband died in what was then Queen's Park Hospital. He died from DVT because he wasn't allowed to get out of bed as he was hooked up to monitors.

If this man couldn't feed himself and there wasn't enough staff to help couldn't his family have helped him? How often did he have visitors?
