Take-away delivery man threatened with 'gun'

A CUSTOMER pulled a gun on a terrified takeaway delivery man and refused to pay for the food.

The driver, who works at a Hammerton Street food outlet, had been making deliveries in the Queensgate area when the offender struck.

Detectives launched an inquiry and a replica hand gun was recovered from the scene.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of intending to cause fear with violence and possession of a firearm following the incident at 2-27 a.m. on Sunday.

He was interviewed by officers and released on bail until Monday, November 19th, while the investigation continues.
