I am not a true Burnleyite, but really a Padiham thickneck. Although I was born in Blackburn. Brought up in Rosegrove, council school there. Then to Cheapside, Padiham Council School and Padiham Secondary tech.(Hence the Thickneck) Worked at Mullards, then Senior Foreman at Michelin, before emigrating to Perth Western Australia. Twist my arm and I'll call myself a Burnleyite. After all Bacup Lill, Bobby Nipper and Lily Whip excepted me as a Burnleyite. Not forgetting Tommy Shack.(Shackelton).
Married a Burnley Wooder from Brunswick Street, and have three girls all born in Burnley.

Born in Burnley, lived in Colne all my life. Attended a few Burnley matches but to be honest thats because I was one of the event stewards. Wasn't voluntary.

Just near Larch Street, I actually grew up next to Walverden school, although I didn't attend there myself.
