Yeah I know about the Lanberts market what was left of it after the fire finaly diappeared when the market was demolished, there are some stalls out side the lord nelson(the zoo as most call it) but it's not up to much, I think a good market would be good for the town I think.

As I'd said earlier in some of me posts the council are moving into them or so I've heard, typical!

Yeah can remember that stall as well, Kev could get hold of music that wasn't easy to get hold of, and he still runs it new along with one in colne too.

oh aye he's still there I think he has an assistent to run one of his stalls and I think they alternate between stalls.

Did you go in the arcade cafe under the clock, run by ernie? I didn't but know plenty who did and still do.

I'm not a Burnleyite, was born in Blackburn (hospital) lived in Ossy most of my life appart from 8 years in Haslingden and 2 In Accy. I have lots of friends who come from Burnley. I travelled the country with Big Brian Fenn, who sadley died earlier this year. We were both involved in Pool both playing and reffing. I also played in the Burnley Pool league for a few years and was part of a team from The Corperation, on Oxfoed Street who came runners up in a national fours final at Hammersmith Pally in London the landlord was Billy Barlow. A good mate of mine is a former Burnley councillor Stan Horne (back in the eighties) who now lives in Rishton

I'm not a Burnleyite, born in Blackburn, lived there for 16 years, then lived in Leyland for a few years before I moved up to Newcastle for 4 years, down south for 2 years, then York for 3 years or so, and now Marske. No conection whatsoever with Burnley! Well, apart from my cousin living there for a rew years!

I was born in Burnley, lived in Nelson for 21 years (just up Barkerhouse Road also!) and have since lived in Burnley for 13 years.

I'm another Bank Hall baby, lived my first couple of years with my gran up the stoops, then my dad won £400 pounds on the pools, and we moved to a posh house on Barden lane!
Sweetpea how come you post on here then, have you some connection to Burnley. You could be a spy!

Found it by accident about 3 years ago and have never looked back. I have a very tenuous link being married to a Northerner though, if that counts. Anyhow, I have ALWAYS been made welcome. Feels like home now.
