One of the funny things is I went to Mansfield school, which to the outsiders on here probably suggests I lived near Nottingham at some point

Bet it didn't take 3hrs to get there in the morning though!

Mum grew up on Mansfield Cres, and went to Mansfield high, she's 60 in Feb though.

I can't remember what number she said she lived at.

10 years above me I'm afraid. Though I did live near the school but at the bottom side.

Did ya ever go drinking in the snowball on Halifax rd? or at the four lane ends? me mum talks with great fondness about going in there(the snowball) when young, and me Granma used to work at Smith and Nephews down by the canal.

I did go in them occasionally, used to go in the Greyhound more than the others. My family on one side were always Brierfielders so it goes without saying they used to work at Smithy's

i lived in oldham for 6 years moved almost 2 years ago now.

I did grow up in Nelson, living just of Barkerhouse Rd, could over look cats park for those who know where I mean from age 10 years old for 9 years before returning to Oldham my birthplace.

i lived at barkerhouse road for a chunk of my childhood lol right next to cats park near abbotts minimarket (i worked in there) we were about 3 doors from the post office

I remeber abbotts (keith), it was a second hand shop next door but one to to the launderette's, don't reconise your face though I lived on smith st, just down from bambers chippy.

keith had the minimarket on the corner and he had the secondhand shop.
i lived in nelson up until i was about 26 then moved to oldham now i'm in herefordshire,i went walton high.
we used to go bambers chippy many times a week lol it was a yummy chip shop

Yeah I remember now he sold his shops now though someone said he had a shop in Accy but I wasn't to sure about that though.
I've got a cousin is called Christine Verity, she's 35, 36 in late january she went to Walton High School as well, you'll probably know but thats changed it's name now to Pendle Vale, as for the Bambers there was no better chippy people used to treck from all over to go there, well they've sold up and retired now.
It's a chinesse chippy/takeaway now and not nealy as good in my opinion.
