Hi Kiki

It the old Burnley Wood One Stop Shop now called Terracedfields Devlopment Trust, it was setup with SRB funding which came to an end on 31st March this year, A large number of VCF organisations are having to close because ther are no other funding streams they can use to cover their core costs

I used to walk the parish boundary's with St Stephens behind a band and the church banners, all dressed up in Sunday best, white shirt and black short trousers with shinny black shoes hair combed back with dads hair cream

This is my first time on this site.
We lived in the hardware shop on the corner until 1969 then moved to Australia.I was sad to see Burnley Wood as it now stands last year when I came for a holiday. Our house on the corner of Waterloo rd and Clarence St was gone and the shop boarded up.
Would love to talk to anyone who can send some up to date pics please. thanks jan

Will have a look through some old photo,s see what i can dig up. On a recent trip (well about two years ago) i caught the bus to Birmingham from Burnley to see my daughter who lives in Warwickshire.I started talking to a lady who i didnt know but she knew me from wayback. We talked non-stop about people who used to live in Burnley Wood over the years
and my Dad who was the local headmaster The whole journey was really refreshing !

Yes , im bad at remembering names but i will have known your family ,and my Dad was before Mr Wilson! My Mum used to occasionally work at Miss Websters and she used to decorate her windows at Christmas as she was very artistic.
