| This is my first time on this site. We lived in the hardware shop on the corner until 1969 then moved to Australia.I was sad to see Burnley Wood as it now stands last year when I came for a holiday. Our house on the corner of Waterloo rd and Clarence St was gone and the shop boarded up. Would love to talk to anyone who can send some up to date pics please. thanks jan |

| Will have a look through some old photo,s see what i can dig up. On a recent trip (well about two years ago) i caught the bus to Birmingham from Burnley to see my daughter who lives in Warwickshire.I started talking to a lady who i didnt know but she knew me from wayback. We talked non-stop about people who used to live in Burnley Wood over the years and my Dad who was the local headmaster The whole journey was really refreshing ! |
