| Hi there I'm new to this Forum and just read the comments on The Broken Biscuit. Just bought it on EBay today even though I had never heard of it before. So glad to see I seem to have made the right purchase! I love buying books about old Burnley - I remember it from the fifties onward but my mum never talked about "the old days" - my good memories are mostly from childhood and being a teenager in the sixties. I have read the comments about Burnley Wood and also about the "rabbit walks" and the "old stone castle" - what a wonderful place to play. Yours Lancashire Exile |

No I’m afraid she is no longer with us, not sure when she died, but I know she lived to a good old age. She was a lovely lady, she often babysat for my kids about 30 years ago, and she lived on Moorland Road in Rosehill as we did at the time. Her son is still alive and living in Burnley I think.
