just wondering if any one would remember a night club called the starlight.....it was I think in Burnley I have lived away for 30 years so cant remember where it was.. suppose it could have been in Blackburn..it was a good club..

not exclusively a gay bar in todays sense of the word but a lot of them used it and it was going in the 70s early 80s.Does anyone remember the Merchants in Blackburn going at the same time,that was a gay pub,it was owned by a Burnley fella called Ken Pilling and there was some right sights in there I can tell you,the barman/barmaid was Kens live-in and he/she used to wear full make up and had a full beard as well.Hilarious.

yes i remember the Merchants, but dont remember the bearded lady( but your right K ) it was a laugh !I used to go down the Cavendish club alot and loved to dance, still do . There was some great groups The Hollies, Soul singers too!
