Classic Car Show Towneley Sunday 14th Aug

The Annual Classic Car Show is on at Towneley Park this Sunday, it's worth a look if the weather is nice.

There's stalls and a funfair too. As well as having cars on display, I know last year they had cars driving in an arena which was a bit more interesting.

Kick's off about 11am, not sure of cost, think you just pay for parking - so it's free if you walk.

Some nice motors down there this year, some gorgeous yanks; Mercury Couger RT7, Oldsmobile Cutlas, Chevy Bel-air and the coco connection drag car (sadly not with the engine going when I was there).

Also a very lime green Escort Mexico Mk 1, an outrageous Jap kit car made out of a 200sx I think. Lots of Rovers, MG's, Jags and Moggies...

Took a few photos, but you'll have to wait for them as I'm sticking with film until they bring out a 25 million pixel digi camera for the price of a 35mm SLR.

All in all, a good free day out.

The morris minor broke down, couldn't get it started, had to get the kids to fix it...

ps. I musta had too much beer last neet cos I coulda swore I saw a nun digging her way out the ground near the bumper... :pint:
