it was on granada reports last night that there was going to be a competition today to see who makes the best sarsaparilla in britain ,fitzpatricks from rawtenstall (ex burnley ) have entered...i hope they win ...i remember when i was a kid going there on a saturday ,,it was yummy ..
must remember to watch gordon burns tonight 6.30

they had a shop near the culvert and sold all sorts of wonderful concoctions,they moved to rawtenstall when they pulled all the shops down to build the keirby hotel

Used to go to Fitzpatricks too Granny C, i was little and my big sister had to take me there on Sat urdays after the Odeon, I love saparilla tooand used to get Horlicks tablets there !

it was owned by the same family as the one in Burnley.
