i am going back years ,but we had a pop man came round in a waggon .i think it was called stantons ,,,,it was in those big brown jars that looked like hot water bottles

We used to have a pop chap deliver from a wagon, every Friday me and my brother got to choose 2 bottles a piece - always at the last minute and then get shouted at by my mum for not being able to decide lol. :D

i think they sell sas on one of the cooked meat stalls in colne market hall there was a chap who sold it off a cart outside colne market hall but he has vanished now

Do you remember doing Bobbin work? It entailed a wooden bobbin with four small nails in the top a long pieceof wool, and a needle. You would put the wool up into the top of the bobbin and then weave it round the nails ,forever going round and round! resulting in a woven tube which you would make into something useless or a plant mat for your Mother! I saw a child making bobbin work this week but without the bobbin or the needle, with fine plastic tubing will have to ask her what she,s making! :jimbo:
