Default Roper St / now shopping centre?

Hi, I'm Karen and I research my family tree which has brought me to Burnley!! Whilst I've only been to the town twice, once to the cemetery and the other time driving round for hours looking for places. I buy any books I can about the town and I'm hoping to come up there soon, if on my days off work would stop calling me in to work!!! I'm trying to find information out about Roper St, I believe it was demolished in the 60's to make way for the new shopping centre. It was near Edward St slightly north of it, near the bend on Banks St (shown on a map) My family names were Brogan(none are there now) 1860+. Gilgallon/Killgallon various spelling for this, so presently not sure which is the right name. Quinn and Osborne, Osborne coming from Cornwall. My Great-Great Grandfather had a shop(grocers) at 6 Roper St, he died 1898. I know there was a inn/tavern on the street as well as a lodging house. Does anyone have any pictures of the street?? I am in touch with the Library but nothing has come to light yet!! Can anyone help? Thanks Karen
